Design Process

When a client contacts us for either a custom or production design they have a desired vessel in mind, whether their focus is on aesthetics, performance or function it’s our job to produce a design that best meets their requirements. This is achieved with the use of cutting edge software, through a comprehensive process covering all aspects of yacht design.

 

During the process we have frequent contact with the client via email, telephone, meetings or web conferencing to ensure all requirements are not only met, but exceeded.

Project briefing

This initial stage allows both the designer and client to comprehensively understand the desired vessels; requirements, parameters, aesthetics and performance objectives.


Preliminary design

After developing a project brief to work from, a variety of concepts are produced exploring various configurations and styling aspects.


Design development

Once a design direction/concept is obtained a detailed design is produced, insuring the viability and requirements of the design.


Detailed design

The final stage once a design is finalised is the detailing, which refines the 3D model, final hull lines, structural design, system details, final powering and performance predictions, cnc cut files or offsets and construction plan set.
